Courtyard by Marriott Sarajevo was opened on 15 July 2015, and is located in the very center of Sarajevo, at No. 1 Skenderija Street.

LAKE d.o.o. is both the investor and the main developer of the Project. Using its own capacities, LAKE conducted the following project activities:

  • proprietary and legal relationships
  • project management
  • supervision of the construction works

This quite a demanding project has extended the experience of LAKE d.o.o. in project development, in accordance with the established strict standards of the brand. Throughout the process, the LAKE made an effort to engage as many domestic partners and suppliers as possible, eventually having 130 business partners from BiH and the region.

LAKE concluded a franchise agreement with Marriot for the Courtyard by Marriott; it built and equipped the hotel in accordance with strictly defined standards, and hired the Interstate Hotels and Resorts Company to manage the hotel due to its broad experience which a franchise requires.

  • Additional facilities: restaurant, cafe bar, sky bar, fitness room
  • Underground parking lot – 30 parking places

60 new jobs have been created and 150 indirectly hired.

The hotel offers everything needed for a comfortable stay of our clients who visit Sarajevo for business purposes, whereas the close vicinity of diplomatic and consular offices, administrative and cultural institutions in the Skenderija neighborhood, as well as the proximity of entertainment facilities in the downtown area, makes it an attractive and safe location for our guests.

During both the designing and the construction stage, an emphasis was laid on achieving the maximum energy efficiency by reducing the exploitation of energy-generating products and decreasing the pollution rate.

Through its business operations, LAKE doo pursues an outermost humane exploitation of resources, both in the construction process by using adequate methods of design and installation of high-quality materials, and throughout the life span of its buildings, whereby the consumption has reduced significantly.
